FAQs

Yes. Any marketing agency, studio, consultant, freelancer, specialist or association can create a standard free listing — no credit card required.

Free listings don’t expire, though we reserve the right to remove listings that are inactive, inaccurate or no longer relevant to the directory.

Your free listing includes a backlink to your website, your business tagline, location, map display, business hours and the ability to tag the services you offer. You can also receive reviews from clients and peers.

Yes, you can upgrade to a paid plan at any time to unlock additional features including contact display, social links, image gallery, video, FAQ, price range, announcements, deals and offers, bookings and a lead form.

Choose the one that best describes how you operate:

  • Agency — You run a team-based business that offers marketing services to clients. You have staff, a formal structure and likely handle multiple disciplines under one roof.
  • Studio — You run a small, close-knit business with a creative focus — design, content, video or similar. Smaller and more specialised than an agency, but still a registered business.
  • Consultant — You work independently, offering strategic advice and direction to clients. You’re a registered business or sole trader, and your value is in your thinking rather than hands-on execution.
  • Freelancer — You work independently and are available for hire. You take on client work directly, handle your own projects and operate as a registered business or sole trader.
  • Specialist — You have deep expertise in a specific marketing discipline but aren’t necessarily available for hire or operating as a formal business. You want to build your professional profile and be recognised for what you know.
  • Association — You’re an industry body, institute or organisation that supports the marketing community through education, events, networking, certification or resources. You don’t offer client services directly but play an important role in the profession.

These three can feel similar, so here’s how to tell them apart:

Are you actively taking on client work?
If yes, you’re either a Freelancer or Consultant — not a Specialist. A Specialist is someone building a professional profile, not necessarily offering services for hire.

Are you self-employed or registered as a sole trader?
If no, you’re a Specialist. Freelancers and Consultants both operate as independent businesses.

Do you execute the work, or advise on it?
If you roll up your sleeves and do the work, you’re a Freelancer. If you focus on strategy, direction and recommendations, you’re a Consultant. In practice many people do both — if that’s you, ask yourself which best represents how you want to be found.

There are three paid plans: Featured, Growth and Multi-listing Growth. Each offers progressively more features and visibility within the directory.

A Featured listing is the entry-level paid plan. It upgrades your free listing with contact display, social links, FAQ, price range and the ability to tag the services you offer — giving visitors more ways to learn about and connect with your business.

A Growth listing is the most popular paid plan. It includes everything in Featured, plus an image gallery, video, announcements, deals and offers, bookings and a lead form — giving you a fully fleshed-out profile to make a strong impression.

If you need more than one listing — for example, if you operate under multiple brands or want to list across multiple categories — the Multi-listing Growth plan covers two listings at a saving compared to two individual Growth plans.

Paid listings run for 30 days and renew automatically.

Yes — you can cancel or downgrade to a free listing at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current 30 day period. Payments are non-refundable.
